Gwen Rodriguez, Dietary Service Manager

I was born and raised in Billings, and have been married for 17 years with three children (two girls and one boy). I have been in dining services for 15 years and I have chosen to work at Valley Health Care Center because it is more satisfying and rewarding than restaurant work.

I feel I can really make a difference, ensuring that our residents are nutritionally cared for. My fondest memory is my first “fine dining,” a program I created in which the resident chose a special meal they would like to have to make them feel special. Our menu for the evenings included specialty crackers/cheeses, gourmet wild rice soup, filleted beef medallions, parmesan risotto, fresh asparagus spears, and raspberry cheesecake and coffee for desert, all of which was served on crystal diningware. It was a pure delight!
